This is the exact problem I have with the salaries of software engineers. Most are so over-paid that they don’t have enough time to do the things they need to do to stay in their jobs. They don’t have time for the development work they need to do and don’t have the skills to do the types of things they need to do to get a raise. They also don’t have the money to spend as they want.
I also have a salary problem with my own company. If I get raises at work and people say things like “Wow, you’re getting a raise” or “You should be getting a raise” or “You should be getting better money now your working for me” I get upset…I really feel as though I should be getting a raise and that I deserve it.
Everyone has a salary problem. And it’s usually not with the company that you work for. It’s with the company that you work for. And it’s usually not a good thing.
