This Senior Supply Chain Manager salary infographic is one of my favorite salary pay comparisons I’ve seen. It’s a bit of fun to see how much a senior supply chain manager makes. The pay has increased a bit over the past decade, but what stands out is that it is still significantly less than the salary of a junior supply chain manager.
That’s because there are two main levels of salary in the US in this economy. Top-tier positions, such as senior supply chain managers, are actually still somewhat uncommon, while junior positions are really more common. What does this mean for Supply Chain Manager salaries? It means that the salary level that you make will depend on the pay grade and the company you work for.
My best guess is that a junior supply chain manager makes about 70K. Thats a pretty good salary. But what is interesting is that senior supply chain managers make more than the average senior supply chain manager. If you look at the average salary for a senior supply chain manager (about $110K) it’s about 3X the average salary of a junior supply chain manager (about $40K). You can see why senior supply chain managers are still quite rare.
I think that senior supply chain managers tend to be the first people to be promoted after a company’s product has been sold. This is because senior supply chain managers tend to be in the direct line of contact with the company’s customers, the people who ultimately purchase the product.
It may be true that senior supply chain managers tend to be in more of a management role, but they often need to be a little more hands off. The fact that we see so many of these junior supply chain managers getting raises suggests that they’re the ones with the “magic” touch. If they can get the job done, they’re definitely worth it.

Senior supply chain managers usually have the most responsibility in a company. They are the ones that make sure the goods are shipped on time, deliver the products, and handle the payment processes. It’s not like we only see a couple of them getting raises, so we think that the magic touch is probably all there is.
It seems like the senior supply chain manager with the most responsibility in a company has a lot of power, and that power is something that junior supply chain managers aren’t really used to. What makes senior supply chain managers valuable is that they have the ability to make the senior supply chain managers around them better. Senior supply chain managers are the ones who have the most influence over the company. They have the most power over the executives, because they know where all the other senior supply chain managers are.
Many senior supply chain managers are actually younger than the company CEOs. That’s not because CEOs are older, it’s because they have more power and authority. So they are the ones who are in a position to make any one senior supply chain manager better. But that’s not all. Senior supply chain managers also have more power and influence over their companies’ employees, because they often have more power over the employees themselves.
So an example of senior supply chain managers could be a manager whose job is to coordinate and ensure that all of the senior supply chain managers in a company are doing a good job. Most senior supply chain managers are not in that position, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have power.
