I was hoping that the data I have on my phone would be more complete and comprehensive than it is. It has been days where I have had a conversation with people without having all of the details about why they are being so offensive. I’ve had conversations with people who would have never done anything to me, and I have no reason to believe that they are going to stop.
Sometimes I feel like my phone is the world’s most reliable source of information. I get all of the information I need for free or at a very low rate, with only a few questions I still have to ask. And yet, I still end up being the wrong answer to those questions.
I think this has a lot to do with our default mode of thought: we think of ourselves as being in control of our actions, and we’re actually not. In order to be in control of our actions, we need to have a belief that we are in control of our thoughts and actions. For example, I had a conversation with someone who was very angry and I tried to explain why I was angry with him.
The same principle applies to any situation. The problem is that we can be in control of our thoughts and actions but then we aren’t in control of the thoughts and actions of others. If someone thinks you are a jerk and I think you’re a jerk, I can try to convince you that you’re a jerk, but I can’t convince a bystander that you’re a jerk even if it is the right thing to do.
In this case, Colt Vahn is the bystander but he is also a jerk. In the game he is trying to convince the entire party that he isnt a jerk. In deathloop, he is trying to convince the entire party that he isnt a jerk.
We are always trying to convince the entire party that we dont suck. We are always trying to convince the entire party that we arent jerks. We are always trying to convince everyone that we arent jerks. We are always trying to convince everyone to be a jerk. We are always trying to convince the entire party that we arent a jerk. We are always trying to convince everyone that we arent jerks.
For better or for worse, I think this is the most important part of the game. In Deathloop, every party member is tasked with either collecting or stealing data from a Visionary. The data the party collects can be used to help the party reach their goal, or they can be used to either extort money, or cause the Visionaries to attack them.
This is one of those “what ifs” I love to run into on gaming forums.
While I was trying to think of an excuse for how I could be so lazy, I suddenly had an idea. I mean, the video game industry is so obsessed with money, its almost impossible for a game (or even a series of games) to make a profit, even if the game was good. If you do a good job, they don’t like to come back.
A good rule of thumb is that the amount of money that you make in the video game industry is directly proportional to how much money you get paid for your efforts. If you make a lot of money, you probably wont have much difficulty with extorting money, but you will probably be more cautious about how you do it.
